Transfer zone stack ↔ truck

Transfer zone stack ↔ truck

The NGICT-system makes it possible to execute the truck loading and unloading within the stack area itself. The most favourable position can be tailored to specific function and circumstances of a terminal. The advantages of this are explained in comparison with the current modern (A)RMG configuration.

For small terminals with a small share of truck handling the above outlined principle could be chosen.

When converting an existing RMG terminal, the choice could be made to leave the existing supply and discharge roads intact as much as possible.

Benefits

  • Reduction of terminal area (m²)
  • Every stack lane can server 2 trucks at the same time in one driving direction
  • Higher operational speed
  • More operational flexibility
  • Increasing safety level
  • Reduction of emission
  • Truck lane can be situated at the most favourable position in the stack area
  • Reduction of truck-time on terminal
  • No backward driving (3 ct possible)
  • Reduction of driving distance (truck)
  • Reduction of fuel consumption (truck)
